Should you bother posting on Facebook?

I have a process for choosing new clients.

First the call is scheduled. Then the prospect receives a list of questions I will ask during our initial call.  And finally, together we decide if it makes sense to do business together.

A question I ask during our conversation is,

“If we decide to work together, what is the one thing I could do to make you ecstatic that you hired my firm?”

Nine times out of ten I hear… “Get me results.  All I care about is ROI.”

And, that’s the cool thing about what I do for a living because I can directly show how much money we make our clients each week because social media lets you do just that.

The problem is, it can be VERY tempting to just jump straight to ads and ignore your Facebook Business page all together.  Isn’t posting fluff just distracting you from the real results-producing ads?

Here’s the thing…

Engagement is what separates the average marketers from the superior (Tweet this)

Engaging your audience with content 1 to 2x daily allows you to:

• Build likes and trust with them. This method moves leads from cold to warm.
• Attract circles of influence surrounding your fans because when they comment,
like or share something, their whole network sees it.
• Get free advertising. When Facebook sees your posts getting engagement, it will share
your content more, and more views means more free distribution and more free
   advertising.
• Build your lead list.  One of every 4 posts can be self-promotional, driving your fans to
your lead magnet, and if Facebook shows that to any of your list, even a small
percentage, that is a chance to get more prospects for free.

So what to post? Here are just a few…
  1. Trust builds
  2. Fill-in-the-blank posts
  3. Write a photo caption
  4. Link your blog
  5. Share an industry article with question
  6. Quote image
  7. Seed posts
  8. Trivia questions
  9. Fan of the Week
  10.  Behind-the-scenes photos
  11.  Member Q&A
  12.  Survey question
  13.  Poll
  14.  Personal share
  15.  Giveaway
  16.  Image
  17.  Whisper campaign

Does it work?

As I have increased my posting frequency on my Facebook page and for our clients, the engagement has increased, reach grown, website traffic risen and more importantly, we’ve obtained more leads to our email list…for free.

Bottom line, want your results to improve? Start posting better content and post it more often.
