My 10 Favorite Social Media Tools

From making a quick gif to ensuring your social media posts go out even when you’re away, there are tools that help you get your social media marketing done faster, at a higher quality and with better results.

As a tool gal myself, I am a total nerd when it comes to trying new tools that can help me save time and make the end result better. Most are free. Some cost a few dollars. All are fan-freaking-tabulous.

(We are an affiliate of the ones with *s but I would use them even without the commission and I suggest you do, too!)

Here are some of my favorites:

1. Boomerang. A free app created for Instagram, this program lets you create quick videos that repeat and can be used as gifs in your marketing.
2. WordSwag. If you have known me for more than 5 minutes, chances are I have mentioned this app. It creates beautiful images (like this blog post title) that you can use for blogging, creating social media posts and cover photos, logo development (use the translucent background) and more. It is a whole $2 and is available in iOS and Android platforms.
3. Canva. Another social media design app with more layouts and templates that works for all social media platforms, it’s geared towards desktop. This one is free and only charges if you want to use some of the premium images.
4. LeadPages. A quick landing page generator that works like a charm in creating landing pages that produce more subscribers to your email list, prospects and customers. No coding geek-a-tude required.
5. MeetEdgar. Upload your social media posts, and MeetEdgar will continue to rotate them and post to your newsfeed… on auto-pilot. It’s the best next thing to having a full-time social media admin, but this one is free to start and will never ask for time off.
6. Infusionsoft. Want to send a different email to someone based on whether they are a client, a prospect or vendor? Want someone to opt-in to your email list from Facebook and then be invited to next week’s webinar? Want to keep track of all of your sales leads without having to “keep track of all of your sales leads.” Welcome to marketing automation and our number one tool, Infusionsoft.
7. BuzzSumo. Search any topic of your choice and see the most popular posts in the last 24 hours, week, month or longer. Use the results to determine what your target market will respond best to in your social media posts, “Juicy Carrots,” and ads. It’s like having a team of the top researchers in your industry, but for free.
   
8. SumoRank. Buzz sumo’s little sister, SumoRank gives you stats you can use to make your Facebook Page marketing better.
9. Evernote. Keep track of social media post ideas, screenshot an ad that you like, scan a page from your favorite book to use later… these are just a few of the things you can do with the Evernote app. It is a fantastic free tool for every super-efficient-task-crushing ninja.
10. Title Generator: Looking for a title for your next blog post, subject line to increase opens, or a magnetic name for your next product? This free tool comes up with a bucket load of them in a matter of seconds.
